Turks & Caicos Vacation Log
Family trip to Beaches Turks & Caicos
Our first family trip in 3 years and it was everything I dreamed it would be.

Flying with kids is always challenging. It does not matter what age they are you are guaranteed endless trips to the bathroom. Thankfully our flights were on time and we arrived in Turks & Caicos at 1:00pm. After we cleared customs and immigrations we went directly to the Beach Turks & Caicos lounge and were put into an Air Conditioned Van for the 15 minute ride to the resort. Upon arrival everybody was greeted and offered fruit juice or rum punch and a cold compress to cool off with. Elmo was in the lobby so the kids where able to take pictures and give hugs. We checked in and went to our room. It was a large room with king 4 poster mahogany bed, a pull-out trundle bed so the kids each had their own twin size bed, full stocked bar, a large balcony with views of the turquoise blue water of Turks & Caicos.

We changed quickly into our beach clothes and went down to get a quick bite to eat at one of the 20 international restaurants. We choose Reflections because it was close to our room and it had an italian buffet for the day. After we ate the kids were anxious to get over to Pirates Island Waterpark. At Beaches Turks & Caicos they have a large waterpark with 8 waterslides, a 650 foot lazy river, kids only swim-up bar, and a surf-simulator. We picked a cabana that was centrally located so that we could keep an eye on the kids and to have a check back point for them. Preston choose not to get wet right away and to run to the Xbox game room. At Beaches Turks & Caicos they are they testing site for all new games for Xbox. The kids are able to play for FREE and endless number of Xbox games for as longs as they would like. Addison wanted to float in the lazy river, so her and Bob ran off and I decided to sit and relax for a minute. At Pirates Island the kids are able to get a drink at the swim-up kids bar, get an ice cream sundae, cotton candy, chicken tenders, and whatever else they can think of at Bobby Dees dinner. The best part is it is all included in the price of your room, so no need to carry any money.

One thing that we did everyday was go back to our room between 3-5 to relax. The kids would get into their underwear and sit on the balcony and color or play on their iPads. My husband and I would take this time and play where we wanted to go for dinner and any activities we wanted to pre-plan for the next day. I would defiantly recommend this to any family with small kids.

We tried many different dinner options on the property throughout the week. We ate BBQ ribs & chicken at Arizonas, fresh seafood at Schooners, Italian at Marios. I think I went to the Jerk Shack every afternoon for some jerk chicken and festival! We also found that Marios had the largest breakfast buffet. We could get made to order omelets, pancakes, waffles, fruit, yogurt, bakery items, etc.. One thing is for sure you will not go hungry at Beaches Turks & Caicos.
